The purpose built village of Sun Peaks has an attractive, ski-through village centre, with a number of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy - great for a Sun Peaks ski holiday. The slopes lie on three mountains, all easily accessed from lodging in the village centre and within easy reach of all of the townhomes. Both on and off the slopes the atmosphere is relaxed, with plenty of room on the slopes and casual dining the order of the day in the evening. On The Slopes
Off The Slopes
Centred around the ski-in, ski-out village, skiing and riding at Sun Peaks offers something for everyone, from novices content to make just a few simple turns to experts looking for a fix of steeps and trees. The wild open groomers of Sundance and Morrisey flatter the skier and border, with the latter’s slopes often quiet even when elsewhere in the resort isn’t so. Glorious rolling trails like Out of the Woods and C.C.Riders are a joy, with Sun Catcher and the green trial Rambler also a pleasure to ride. Sundance is also home to the terrain park, a haven particularly for boarders. More advanced skiers will head up Sunburst and Crystal, where above the treeline there are some steeps, as well as stunning views. Tougher black trails abound, including the bumps of Headwall and the popular Spillway. Novices and intermediates are catered for too and the picturesque route through the trees of The Other Way ranks as one of our favourites. With well over 100 runs across over 3,600 acres, a Sun Peaks ski holiday has much to offer all abilities and even offers free guided tours daily to help you make the most of your visit.
A ski holiday in Sun Peaks isn't complete without great off piste activities. The resort has an open air pool, a skating rink and a tubing park, all within a snowball’s throw of the majority of the accommodation and activities such as horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiling (including kids’ size), dogsledding and snowshoeing are all available during your Sun Peaks ski holiday. There are also regular excursions to see the local Kamloops ice hockey team play.
