The new and rising star of Canadian skiing, Revelstoke has, over the last couple of years, added lift-serviced slopes to its extensive Cat and Heli-skiing domains and started developing a resort village at the base of those slopes. With over 3,000 acres of trails already accessible by lift the resorts pistes are plenty big enough to entertain most skiers and snowboarders and with the added access to lots of off-piste terrain, experts are more than amply served too.

Accessed by the recently extended gondola, much of the terrain is on the front side of Mount Mackenzie, including several long beginner and novice runs. The Stoke chair extends above the Mid-Mountain gondola terminus and offers a number of intermediate and more advanced slopes, plus allowing access to the North Bowl. The resort’s total vertical of 1,713m is the largest in North America and with the development of the resort continuing no doubt other records will be being challenged soon.
In addition to an on-mountain restaurant, there is another in the mountain resort village, along with a number of guest services and other facilities, all based around the new and luxurious Nelsen Lodge. The town of Revelstoke, on the shores of the Columbia River, is just a short ride away, with its leisure centre and ice-skating rink.
